Welcome to our new site, which is dedicated to Historic US Route 20. This historic road begins in Boston, Massachusetts and ends in Newport, Oregon. US Route 20 is over 3200 miles long and travels through twelve states. It is our goal to promote this great road, so that travelers can once again experience the charm and wonder of roadside America, a phenomenon that is vanishing in our fast-paced society. Route 66 may be "The Mother Road", but US Route 20 is the "Grand Daddy Road".
We continue to evolve and hopefully bring enjoyment and appreciation of the road to you as we have! Check out the latest NEWS on US ROUTE 20. We have given you a brand new look and added many new features. We will continue to provide you the opportunity to travel along US Route 20 on the internet. ..................Webmaster.

US ROUTE 20: THE OREGON TRAIL / LINCOLN WAY WEST "From the wide-open spaces of the West to the dense urban jungles of the East, this route offers the longest and most involved road trip........... Connecting an exceedingly diverse range of places and totaling over 3,200 miles-- many more if you count all the potential detours, side trips, and parallel routes--US-20 takes in a little of everything during its two-lane trek from Oregon's rugged coast to the glorious sea and sand of Cape Cod. Superlative sights include at least two wonders of the world, New York's Niagara Falls and Wyoming's Yellowstone National Park; the great cities of Boston and Chicago; and two halls of fame, one in Cleveland celebrating rock 'n' roll, the other in Cooperstown idolizing the national pastime, baseball. Odd museums, classic diners, idyllic towns, and post- industrial decay --- you'll find it all along this great cross-country highway. " |
